lyrics

J: Black ants circle the carcass, one says their words at the pit. Cut all the plants to decorate, we all must follow the script. As I take my leave of this, each guest lends a hand. Submerging myself further now, deep down this was my plan.

P: I have tasted the fruit of the basket. I have known the taste of its flesh. I have seen the satin of caskets and bid my time until I meet death. I have smelled the funeral flowers. I have heard the organ's call. I have seen the church's bower and felt the rise before the fall.

J&P: Please remember when I cast out. Escape these walls that have kept me grey. All my demons. There will never be another chance to run. And I'm alone. I never thought I'd see the light of day. For the first time. But here I am basking in the sun. They have made me. My only fear is that I'll miss the shade. So much stronger. And long for the time when we were one.

P: Bodies surround me, longing for nothing but the return of their youths. Something so small and take from so many. My only weapon is myself. My only defense. My body covers the fire and leaves me in more places than I've ever been.

J: This air is not natural. Gray fields stretch evermore. Claws grate on ears, push me left and right.

J: Towers of livestock built a maze that believes itself a hunting serpent. Its limbs march onward with blind vigor. I am not my own, I am owned. Wether in my cell or under glass I feel a chill hold my spine.

J&P: When we come to find you, there will be no hope left. Know that we can't forgive, what you have done to us. Inside you must have known, one day we'd be your end. There's a light in your eyes, we'll leave when that's darkness.
