A never ending regiment and a full course of leaves is all I need to succeed. But every 13 moons, a pale beast returns, and stabs our tree with its horn, cracking the sacred bark. As the bark peels, the leaves refuse to grow. A way of life destroyed. Sixteen feet in front of the others, a perilous journey down the trunk. Enough is enough. Rhinoceros have no need for trees. One giant leap for caterpillar kind, I find myself atop the head, start to chew on its eye, pretend it's a leaf. Alas, an itch is scratched on the bark, I find myself a smear on our precious tree.
